Ed White, Managing Director of Scumrun commented: “We’re delighted to be working with JDRF this year. As well as providing helpful resources, JDRF funds research that means one day we will live in a world free from this chronic, life-threatening condition. It’s a great and worthy cause that we hope Scumrun can raise a significant amount of money for in 2015. The money raised will support world-class research, helping JDRF to cure, treat and prevent type 1 diabetes; a condition that thousands of children in the UK suffer from.”

Karen Addington, Chief Executive of JDRF in the UK, said: “JDRF is incredibly excited to be chosen as the charity for Scumrun 2015. Type 1 diabetes affects 400,000 people in the UK – including 29,000 children. But finding a cure for this condition is just a matter of time, money and great research. The support of Scumrun will help us travel further along the road to the cure.”

2015 will be the tenth anniversary event welcoming over 100 cars and 300 participants on a four day European tour – with secret destinations announced each morning. Each car is to be valued at no more than £500, but modifications are not restricted and fancy dress and costumes highly encouraged! Since its inception in 2006, Scumrun’s participants have helped to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds for UK based childrens’ charities.
